The Man Behind The Drums

Vincent Waters is an enthusiastic, up and coming artist based in Hamilton, Ontario. With more than a decade of recording and performing experience, Vince draws inspiration from a variety of musical styles and backgrounds; from Pop/Rock, R&B and Funk, to Jazz, Classical, and Afro-Beat. In 2001, he was awarded the Art and Music award from St. Jean de Brebeuf after a successful four years of musical participation in the band, choir, and other school functions.
Upon successful completion of a Computer Network Administration program at Mohawk College in 2007, Vince decided to switch in to music. In April of 2011, he completed the 4 year Applied Music program, again at Mohawk College, under Kevin Dempsey in Jazz Performance on Drums. He also had the great privilege of being in the Mohawk College Big Band for the 2010-2011 school year, lead by the late Dave McMurdo. Vince has many aspirations and goals for his future, and plans to take his education to the next level so that he may enjoy a successful career, in playing and teaching.
Currently Playing with: The Plain Steel, Kojo “Easy” Damptey, The Practical Players, and many others in the Hamilton area.
